myQRCode — Dynamic QR Code Studio

A web-based studio for generating, designing, and publishing dynamic QR codes; codes whose destination can be changed after printing, with scan analytics attached. Built for marketers, campaign teams, and anyone who prints at volume.

01The brief

What was actually broken.

A QR code printed on packaging, a poster, or a product label is permanent the moment it leaves the printer. If the destination URL changes, the artwork is wrong and the print run is wasted. Static generators solve the one-off case but leave teams with no way to redirect a live code, no record of who scanned it or where, and no path to bulk-produce hundreds of codes without doing them one at a time. The cost is not just reprinting... it is a campaign that cannot be corrected mid-flight, a product label that points nowhere, and no data to show whether any of it worked.

How it was built.

The architecture, the constraints it was chosen against, and the trade-offs that came with it.

The application is built on Next.js and deployed on Vercel, with a PWA manifest in place so it installs on mobile without a native app store submission — a practical choice for field teams who need to pull up a code on a device without a browser tab. The core design loop runs in the browser: module shape, eye style, gradient, logo, and call-to-action frame all update in a live preview before anything is exported. Dynamic codes are stored server-side so their destination can be edited without touching the artwork; static codes are encoded directly into the file and carry no tracking, which keeps them free and privacy-clean by construction. Bulk generation accepts a CSV and returns a ZIP of print-ready SVG and PNG files, offloading the repetition that would otherwise make a thousand-SKU label run impractical. Scan analytics record device, OS, browser, and country, and the raw data is exportable — the platform does not hold it hostage behind a dashboard.
